Nurse Contributor Policy

What can be contributed

• Ideas about workflow gaps, ward orientation and learning needs.
• Corrections supported by authoritative public sources.
• Original educational explanations, checklists or teaching cases.
• Feedback on terminology, accessibility, usability and cultural safety.
• Requests for a hospital or ward pack through an authorised organisational pathway.

What must never be submitted

• Patient names, dates of birth, record numbers, photographs, quotes or identifiable event details.
• Confidential staff, incident, roster, security or employment information.
• Private hospital policies, screenshots, forms or intranet documents without written authority.
• Assessment answers or examination material submitted in breach of academic rules.
• Content copied from another commercial platform or publisher without permission.

Contributor assurances

By submitting content, the contributor confirms they have the right to submit it, it is accurate to the best of their knowledge, it does not breach confidentiality or law, and any conflicts or affiliations have been disclosed.

Do not submit on behalf of an employer unless authorised.

Licence to evaluate and use

The contributor grants Floor Notes a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to review, edit, reproduce and publish the submitted material as part of Floor Notes. Ownership of original material remains with the contributor unless a separate agreement states otherwise.

Submission does not guarantee publication, payment, authorship credit, verified status or endorsement.

Review and attribution

Clinical or local-policy submissions follow the Content Governance and Hospital and Local Policy policies. Floor Notes may request sources, permission or revision. Attribution is agreed case by case and may be omitted where a contributor requests anonymity or the contribution is minor.

Community conduct

Contributors must engage respectfully and avoid discriminatory, defamatory, threatening or professionally undermining conduct. Critique should focus on the resource and evidence.
