Accessibility Statement
Floor Notes aims to make floornotes.org and its member tools usable by nurses with diverse access needs.
Accessibility target
Floor Notes targets Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 Level AA for the public site and core member journeys. Accessibility is treated as ongoing product work, not a one-time claim.
Design measures
- Semantic headings, labels and landmarks.
- Keyboard-operable navigation and controls.
- Visible focus states and skip navigation.
- Colour contrast and information not conveyed by colour alone.
- Responsive layouts and text enlargement support.
- Reduced-motion support for people who request it.
- Captions and transcripts for published video lessons.
- Clear errors, instructions and status announcements.
Known variability
Accessibility can vary with WordPress plugins, user-supplied content, embedded video providers, browser technology and payment pages controlled by Stripe. New content and integrations must be checked before publication.
Requesting assistance
If a page or tool is difficult to use, email maxillarvundi@gmail.com with the URL, task, device, browser and preferred format. Do not include patient information. We will provide a reasonable alternative where practicable.
Feedback and remediation
Accessibility reports are triaged by impact. Barriers preventing purchase, account access or core learning receive priority. Material fixes are tested with keyboard and assistive-technology considerations before release.
