Cookie and Analytics Policy
This policy explains the browser storage used for secure accounts, WordPress operation and optional measurement on healthcarenotes.org.
What cookies are
Cookies are small data files stored by a browser. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage and pixels. Some are necessary for a website to function; others measure or personalise use.
Necessary cookies
WordPress may use necessary cookies for login, security, preferences and administration. These cannot be switched off through a marketing preference because the requested account service would not function correctly.
Stripe sets its own cookies or similar technologies on checkout and billing pages for security, fraud prevention and payment operation.
Clinical drafts
This Healthcare Notes release does not use browser local storage to retain Dashboard or Shift Lead clinical drafts. Refreshing or closing the page clears the active draft. Users should not rely on the browser as a clinical record.
Analytics
The supplied package does not require advertising trackers. If privacy-respecting analytics are enabled later, the operator must update this policy, configure any required consent mechanism and avoid sending clinical draft content or patient information.
Aggregate usage information should be limited to service improvement, reliability and membership reporting.
Managing cookies
Browser settings can block or delete cookies, but this may prevent login, checkout, account security or preferences from working. Stripe cookie choices are governed on Stripe-controlled pages.
Changes
New analytics, advertising or embedded-media services must not be introduced silently. This policy and any consent interface will be updated before materially different tracking begins.
